67) Near Mint Original WW2 Service Respirator Early Wireless Operators Mic Special T 1940-41. This is in pretty much mint condition. All is in lovely order and has a mixture of dates 1940-1941. This is the first type "Respirator, Mic, Special-T" issued with a Bakelite bung to one side fixed in place with a metal clip. These were to allow the respirator microphone to be fitted and clamped in place. Later all masks had a simple protruding rubber tube for the same reason but this was the first service respirator of this type. The mask is in a less common size large. The haversack is also pretty much mint and dated 1941.
