18) Tatty Worn Original Victorian Officers Sam Brown With Whistle Pouch. The main belt is good and strong but does show surface cracking and lots of dirt and dust. It will polish up nicely. It is the correct early pattern with large round suspension rings. By WW1 these were changed to D rings. It also has 4 shoulder strap rings so can be worn with 1 shoulder strap or 2 depending on preference. The shoulder strap is the original and again good and strong but showing much dirt and surface cracking. It has a small area to one edge just below the whistle pouch where a mouse has nibbled it (see photos). This could be tidied up and polished. The whistle tube is in good order. The belt will fit up to 42 inches. The shoulder strap is 40 inches long from end to end. A good pre 1901 item in need of some TLC
