66) Unusual WW1 British Service Steel Shaving Mirror Wear In Breast Pocket Heart Protector! An interesting original 100% WW1 item (came from the family with map case, lanyard etc having belonged to a WW1 British Officer). The mirror is good but does show wear and minor surface rust spots. The outer cover is tatty and dirty but the original writing can just about be made out. "Service Shaving Mirror, ?????,  Carry in left breast pocket". This is very hard to read but is there. The ?s are where we cant make it out. Interesting that it was to be kept in the left breast pocket, clearly as protection from shrapnel or a bullet although more of a comfort than practical. It measures 4 1/2 inches X 3 inches..
