46) An original Boer War British army officers private purchase water bottle with original leather carry strap. The bottle is of heavy felt covered grey/green enamel. It has no dings or dents but the felt covering does show moth holes and many moth nibbles over all (see photos) The original cork and chain are in place and good. The original adjustable shoulder strap is in place and surprisingly supple. It is maker marked and dated 1902.
