37) An interesting original WW1 British army officers wrist compass. The compass is in excellent working order. It comes in its original leather case with wrist strap. The rear of the case is marked "The Service Wristlet". along with a makers mark. The main case is excellent. the rear shows some surface wear. The wrist straps show wear, cracking and some loss to the leather to the surface layer but are still surprisingly soft supple and strong. This must be a pretty rare survivor as the straps etc were fairly light weight from new.
