89) A good original WW2 era British army officers peaked cap. The cap is in well used tatty very dirty condition most is from sweat, brill cream and havin g had a hard service life. The officer that this belonged to was apparently a POW. Unfortunately we have no more info than that. The side button is correct and kings crown although one is missing and the other a bit loose. The chinstrap is good but missing one pull tab. The lining is dirty and tatty. The leather sweatband is again covered in dirt and wear from use. It is really quite a small size of around 6 1/4 - 6 1/2.
