67) A very nice original wartime brodie helmet. The shell is in great order and in its original early war army green paintwork inside and out. It is extremely dusty inside and out and left as found. the paintwork shows chips, flaking and minor surface rust in places but all pretty good. The front has its original red stencilled "BFB". not sure which fire brigade this was to? The inside shell dates it to 1939. The liner is excellent but very very dirty with age and has clearly not moved for many years. It is a size 7 and dated 1939.. The original removable web chinstrap is in place and good but again dirty. It is marked "TED". a nice helmet in as found condition.
