44) An original WW2 British army MKIII steel helmet and liner. these were produced from 1943 to 1945 so 100% wartime. the shell is mostly good and retains much original paintwork. it does show some ancient rust spots and paint chips but all has blended in nicely to leave a nice patina. the top has a couple of small dents. the inside shell shows original paintwork along with dirt and dust. the original liner is in place and is dated 1942 (hard to get a decent photo but 100% 1942) these mid war liners never seem to last as well as the early war liners. it is a little stiff and shows some damage but all is complete. it is a size 6 3/4. the original chinstrap is in place and good just dirty and marked with age.
