98) A very nice original WW1 British army officers The Orilux battery lamp. These were worn as part of the officers Sam Brown equipment set. The leather case is excellent. The hinge area is good and strong but does have a slight edge tear but nothing serious
(see photos). The belt straps etc are all excellent. The top of the lid has a button to switch the lampon and off. It can be used with the cover down, the leather lid cover is curved and acts as a black out cover aiming the light downwards when closed. The lamp is excellent with just one small chip to the edge of the bullseye lens but very minor. There is also a small area of the leather covering where the rivet below has corroded very slightly and affected this area. again nothing serious and all is shown in the photos. The inside of the battery compartment is in good order. The original bulb is in place. This is sold as found untested.
