23) A Good original early WW2 British military "The Services Writing Tablet". Basically a pad of plain paper with a lined pages. These are usually US produced but this one looks to be British. The outside is good with minor marks and edge wear/folds. The contents is all good The pages are all in place, some pages have been partly torn where someone has removed unwanted parts. It is packed full of what look to be unique? poems which are really well written along with some wartime recipes and some random writing and lists but mostly war related. the earliest is dated 1940 and all is written by a British person (not US). We have only had a quick glance through so well worth studying. Approximately half is blank unused pages we have only shown a fraction of the writing inside. It measures 7 3/4 inches X 5 inches. The top is named by the owner "S? Whitehead".
