94) A good original 1944 dated US military issue wrist compass. The main compass is in excellent order. the top dial spins but is pretty tight to move. The needle points north and all works well. The clear centre shows some fogginess to the edges but the central line is clear. The foggy areas can be seen through fine. We are not sure if these were liquid filled or not? This one is dry of any fluid. The base is nicely marked with makers details etc. One side is dated 7-44 for July 1944. the original leather wrist strap is in place and very nice. It shows minor surface cracks but nothing deep. A nice original item
