48) Tatty Original 1930s-WW2 Attractive Card Box Marked Handkerchiefs For The Air Force by Forsyth

48) A really very nice original 1930s-WW2 card box marked to the lid with "Handkerchiefs For The Air Force by Forsyth" and shows an RAF roundel to the left top  and an RAF officer sitting on a shooting cane holding binoculars, and looking skyward while smoking. Underneath this is written "Air Minded". We are not sure if this was a box to store hankies in or if it was sold with them inside?  It is good but a little tatty with age. The top shows some dirt and marks and is tatty around the edges.  The lid doesn't quite close properly as is a little out of shape to the spine. A great looking period item. measure 2 1/4 inches across.
