46) A good original WW2 RAF officers FS cap. A little unusual as this is an issue item and not private purchase. The cap is in excellent clean condition. The outside is good and clean with just one minor moth area near the front buttons which really is only slight (see photos). The cap has been issued as is named to the inside but has never been worn or fitted with a badge. The front Kings Crown buttons are in place and good. The inside is nice and clean and nicely lined. It has its original issue label inside dating it to 1944 and showing it as a size 6 7/8. It is named to "105673 F/O J.Sheimpton" Not the easiest to make out but looks to be that name. A nice cap in original as found untouched condition.
