139) Original 1930s Early WW2 RAF Flying Suit Waist Belt & Everhot Pouches

139) An original 1930s – Early WW2 flying suit belt with EverHot pad pouches attached. The belt is believed to be from the white prestige flying suit? The pouches cover the kidney area. each pouch would have then had a chemically heated pad inserted, this would be dipped in water to activate it prior to being put into the pouch. This system was soon found to be unsuitable as many pilots suffered from chemical burns caused by their use. The belt is in good order with minor dirt. The pouches are again good with minor storage marks. the underside of each cover is AM marked (see photos). it will fit up to 37 inches.
