A nice 100% original WW2 khaki wool cap comforter, these were hand knitted during WW2 by groups of women in comforts comities etc. they are in excellent clean condition but have suffered a little from bad storage and have various moth nips and holes, these could be repaired but a good portion of the material is perfect, each one is slightly different but to the same pattern, these were worn by commandos etc during WW2. Some of these have a mixture of colours in the wool presumably due to wartime economy and shortages so they used what they had.
