A fascinating group of 15 wartime postcards, these were collected by a French soldier who landed in back in France sometime around D-day, these are all hand dated the earliest dated being June 16^th 1944, some of the cards have been sent to a loved one the others are not written on apart from having a date (4 bear no markings at all) the cards trace his steps From Normandy through Belgium and finally into Holland the last cards being dated September 26^th 1944, we don’t read French so no idea what the cards say, also 2 of the cards have had the stamps removed long ago but all in all they are in amazing condition especially when you think that they have been in the middle of the action!!
