WW2 British Army Cavalry Horse Cover Coat Dated 1944

An original WW2 British army issue waterproof coat for a horse, most likely the same pattern as WW1 and we had originally believed that the date was 1914 but on much closer inspection it is 1944. Outwardly it is of a heavy duty waterproof canvas which is pretty good with some marks and fading in places, 2 leather strap loops have long since been removed and one is loose but all other straps and buckles appear to be in place and are fine, the underside blanket is good with a few minor surface moth marks but very minor, it is nicely dated 1944.
