A very nice 1942 dated Australian made Battle Dress blouse, this was issued to a British serviceman fighting in the Far East, we had several items of his kit much of which was Australian, Canadian and Indian made and only a small amount British so a real mish mash of clothing and kit as was common in the Far East. The jacket is excellent and has had the collar faced for an officer so that it can be worn with an open collar but will still fasten up to the neck if needed, the insignia is all original and period added and again appears to have been locally made, the Sgt stripes having had the white parts hand painted and the field gun badges are sand cast as was common in this part of the world. The jacket is near perfect but for several very minor moth holes to the re-facing of the collar, which does not affect the jacket at all, and the rest is in lovely condition.
