A very nice WW2 US army T handle shovel, this pattern of entrenching tool was carried by all US infantry men attached to the waist belt or pack, these are now surprisingly difficult to get hold of especially dated examples. This one is clearly US marked along with “AMES 1943” AMES is a well-known wartime US manufacturer. The shovel is in excellent condition and retains much original OD green paintwork.
