Lovely Original WW1 British Army Issue Folding Trench Lantern

An interesting WW1 British army issue folding trench lantern, this is special as it has the capability to fold totally flat when not in use, the hanging handle then clips over the end and holds the lantern tight in the folded position. The lantern is in lovely condition, the inside base has a hole and spike for the candle to be fixed to, the has a lovely aged finish to it and shows no rust and retains its original surface which has never been re-painted or touched up. The windows appear to be made of Perspex or similar so may be a replacement but all in all a lovely looking item.
