A nice original Victorian army officers rifle slip, this is from at least the Boer war period if not earlier, the case is nicely marked to P.S.Stanhope 43^rd light infantry, the front looks in excellent clean strong condition and is complete with original leather hanging straps, the rear is again good and clean but does show wear holes from use, these are ancient and do not affect the strength of the item, all leather is in nice condition. The item measures 51 inches from end to end.
