WW2 British army clinometer complete with issue leather storage case, these are apparently for use with the mortar for measuring the trajectory of the to work out at what angle the mortar needs to be to land them where they are needed, the case is mint marked with the War Department arrow and makers mark, the clinometer is perfect mint condition with all original paintwork and factory finish, quite often these things have been used as ornaments and highly polished so nice to find an un-touched one, it is made by Palmer whom are well known for making scientific instruments for the Military and Civil market, the brass is also marked with the War Department arrow /|.
