Scarce Original 1940s – 1950s Jungle Boots Malaya, Korea etc

A pair of pretty scarce original late 1940s early 1950s issue jungle warfare boots, these boots were issued for use in Malaya by the Malayan Scouts, Commandos, SAS etc and also saw widespread use in Korea 1950 – 1953. they are un-issued and the rubber is fine soft and supple with no hardening or cracking, the rear ankle stiffening rubber under the material is hard and broken up but does not show as it is just the small patch between the 2 layers of cloth to the back. these ones are unusual in the fact that they were actually made in Malaysia. for the British army, they are marked as size 3 to the outside sole and size 4 to the inside sold which is a little confussing but both are the same and matching, they bear no other markings and are guaranteed 100% original late 1940s early 1950s manufacture, they are complete with original long green laces. For more info on these boots, webbing and equipment of this period get the excellent book “British post war Jungle Webbing” By Simon Howlet. the measurement along the outside sole is 10 inches.
