An original WW1 British Army 1914 on war service badge, these were given out to men whom were working towards the war effort although not fighting at the front or in uniform, people whom were working in munitions factories, ship building etc, this badge would hopefully prevent the wearer from being given the white feather of cowardice. Different badges were produced for each year of the war.
