An original Vickers MG belt repair tool, this is part of the Vickers MG tool kit and was for attaching and repairing the metal end feed tabs to the cloth bullet belt, these were apparently also used in the field for repairing the WW1 and WW2 Brass closure poppers on the 08 and 37 pattern webbing. They are in perfect useable condition with minor surface rust all of which will wipe off with an oily rag or similar, they are clearly maker marked and dated 1916 or 1918 /| the last digit is hard to totally make out but guaranteed to be no later than 1918…
