Original WW1 French 1886 Bayonet Frog Lebel 1886/92/16

An original WW1 French army bayonet frog, this would fit the 1886 1892 & 1916 Lebel bayonets. The frog is in excellent condition considering its age, the leather is good soft and supple although a little dirty and could do with a good polish, all stitching is excellent, there is one ancient tear to the mouth of the frog to the left hand side of the strap, this does not affect the strength or use of the frog and all leather is good and strong, the closure strap is again soft and supple but has some ancient cracking, this looks deep but only geos through the surface layer and leaves a good thickness of leather which is fine good and strong so not about to fall apart, the leather buckle is excellent.
