A very nice 1917 dated pistol holster, this is the open topped version with a simple over strap to hold the pistol in place as opposed to a flap, these were specifically issued to members of the Royal Flying Corps and Tank Corps for use in confined spaces, the holster is in perfect condition and complete with its original war department marked WW1 brass cleaning rod which came with it, the outline and markings from the rod being pushed in and out are clear to see on the leather holster and this rod was most likely issued with the holster in 1917.
