  A very nice original US army issue leather holster for holding the 45cal colt pistol. The holster is in excellent condition and has the US marking to the closure flap, the leather is excellent soft and supple and appears to have had a brown coating added to the front this is period done and appears to have been standard practice, it shows wear to the coating from use but is excellent and original, the original metal attachment loop to the top is fine and the rear is very clearly marked “BOYT 42”. A lovely original item in excellent condition.
